351 Days To Go and Priorities

Finally under the year mark and couldn't be happier!! Well almost..I've been so stressed with this last class I'll ever have to take that it's terrible that I cannot completely devote myself to wedding planning. It's the one thing that is standing between me and graduation. Also, it's the one thing that my parents stand firm on, in my dad's words today, in the midst of all this chaos with the wait on my sister's heart and lungs transplant. No one can imagine, not even me, what is going on in my sister's mind and she is still, by far, my hero!

There's times that I really love priorities and times that I DESPISE them!! For 4 1/2 months now, our priority has been Courtney's health and for every good reason should be! To my parents, my life has needed to revolve around school and definitely has been. Once this class is over I want to enjoy all the wedding planning with my family and for them to be excited about it too. So til next week my priority will remain to be my math class and then next week back to visiting my sister as much as I can, have some fun, and wedding plan whenever I feel like it! After August graduation, my priority will turn to my health with my knee replacement. Hoping and praying Courtney's surgery will happen before then so my surgery does not have to get put off and get in the way.

Here's to looking forward to a hot June wedding (like I'm sure this one was..and might even be me haha) and other good times to come soon hopefully!

Almost a Year Out!!

The Thong in his mouth reaffirms that dogs are Man
see more

Just had to share this as I am getting more and more excited that this Friday will be exactly one year until I get married!!!! Also, the dog in the picture looks so much like my little Tex and he loves undies just like this cutie in the picture. Maybe that could be my something BLUE too..haha.

I just recruited a new bridesmaid that I have wanted to be part of my wedding day pretty much since she became my best friend in first grade. We drifted apart as a lot of grade school friendships do; however, something good came out of my sister being in the hospital for 4 months tomorrow. My friend, Tricia, has been interning at Texas Children's Hospital and has been visiting my sister on the days I have been there. I am thrilled to say I will have 5 of the most wonderful and beautiful ladies standing next to me that day!

The drama lately with the wedding has been THE GUEST LIST! Just like I knew it would, it has grown and keeps growing until the reception venue that we did have booked is now unfit for the space we will need for dinner, dancing, and everything. Amazingly, the venue that we will now be going with is available! Whew! BUT…when I called the venue that we have booked now to ask about getting our deposit back he said we couldn't! I called my fiancĂ© upset and he quickly calmed me saying the contract we signed states that we can get it back as long as we have not paid the whole amount yet...which we haven't. I reeeeeeaaaaalllllly hope he's right because I need my dancing room!!

That's all for now, but come back for the official year out as I will have a whole new blog makeover to celebrate!!

Life is Crazy!!

I wish I could fast forward time a little bit but that would mean I have to figure some things out first. I've been home in Brenham and literally going out of my mind! It's been a cleaning frenzy around here because we just got new carpet installed. It's really pretty and soft. I love walking barefoot on it hehe! But my dad is driving me bonkers and I miss my friends so much! I really need an excuse to get away! Making things worse, I'm in the middle of a minimester class that finishes next Thursday when the test is. Unfortunately, the same day my other class starts!! That class goes on until June 29th and then HALLELUJAH I am done!! We're still trying to figure out when I'll be able to have knee replacement surgery. My dad's thinking it should wait until after graduation being that recovery will push close to August 13th and I just don't know what to do. A summer vacation would be great, because I feel like I've earned it but I just don't know :( I'm ready for the pain to go away..not wait anymore.

I ORDERED MY AGGIE RING!!!!

I won't have to wait until Aggie ring day..which is just fine by me..because I want to have my ring on when I walk to stage! The morning of graduation I get to go and pick it up and I won't have to fight crowds and I can get pictures with my family under the pretty large ring replica. :)

Wedding plans have pretty much still been on hold. My parents finally broke down and made a guest list and I paid the rest of my dress off so it is officilly MINE!! When I go see my sister later today or tomorrow I am going to get fitted so they will put in a corset for me so it will fit like a glove on me! Next, I want to find a good photographer for our engagement pictures so based on how good those turn out we can book them for my bridal portraits and the wedding.

Well, that's it for now. I love how this can be my place to rant and let it all out when I can't really go anywhere else without upsetting anyone.

Where I've Been...

So...I can't believe it has been since Spring Break that I have posted!! That's how crazy it has been since then! Today is technically my last day of Spring semester once I finish a quick paper and quiz...YAY!! Then I have a May minimester class from May 13-28 that's online and a math class at Houston Community College in Summer I and I'M FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will FIANLLY graduate August 13th, 2010!!! Let the countdown begin!

This past Tuesday started week 12 that my sister has waited in the hospital for her heart and lungs transplant. It has tried all of ous in so many ways, but in the end we know it will all just make us stronger. If y'all could just pray that it wouldn't be much longer I would definitely appreciate it!

WEDDING PLANS... so I haven't been able to do very much wedding planning in all the chaos of school and hospital visits, but I'm hoping with my schedule opening up soon that'll change. I did get to go do some bridesmaid dress shopping yesterday. I've been trying to find a high neck dress that is still gorgeous because of my sister's high scar she will have from the transplant and that everyone will hopefully like too. So I found this one and y'all tell me what you think?

One more thing that has happened recently that I need to mention is I am getting my other knee replaced!! I'm really happy about it because my other knee is doing so great and I'm ready for my right one to feel the same way. It's scheduled for June 1 as of now, but I'm going to be rescheduling it to make sure I'm finished with all classes first.

Until next time!!

Wow! What a week!

This week just flew by as busy and stressful as it was. The best part of it I must say was my placement. I LOVE my placement school and most of all my mentor teacher!! She is only a year older than me which is awesome because she just finished the program so she still can remember what I'm going through. Also, even though I have to call her Ms. in front of the students she wants me to call her by first name when it's just us which I just think is cool. She is also engaged and a fellow future June bride like myself only she's getting married this year. She's already helping me think about my future with the school by talking about people she can introduce me to since it's all about WHO you know she found out and not really what you know.

My kids are awesome! The second day I was already getting a beaded necklace from one of the girls who had had a birthday the first day and a sticker from another student. They are so much more polite and mannerly than my last placement school and they constantly want to love on me and be loved in return which I am MORE than willing to do!

School work was so much this week! One project in particular had me going crazy this week because I kept having computer problems. I do like my teacher's theory that she wanted to have the hardest project at the beginning of the semester so it just got easy from here on out and make our other classes easier on us all. Another reason why I am glad this teacher is also my supervising teacher for my placement.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! Yes..it's finally here..the BIG GAME! I always look forward to Super Bowl every year for many reasons. One, I just LOVEEE football! Two, paaarrrttaaaayyyy! This will be our fifth year of hosting the annual party at our house for our church family and friends..just makes sense when you have a 72 inch big screen TV, pool table, arcade games, and plenty of space. ;) I do wish my Cowboys would've made it, but this way if the Saints win the Super Bowl then we can say we beat the winning team. So anyways, later today I'll be making the drive home to Brenham after my student teaching meeting to help with all the cleaning and other preparations as well as finally be able to get some quality time with my baby. I've been lucky seeing him so far with him taking classes in Bryan near me, but it was a tough week for both of us so we couldn't.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Dear Weekend, Why must you be over?

Just when I thought you were starting, you're over again! What did I do to you? I thought we were friends?

Really, I guess it's not as bad as I'm making it out to be, but I'm just feeling so many emotions about the coming week. I'm nervous about my new school and excited at the same time. I'm dreading this assignment that I'm working on finishing that is a BIG chunk of my semester grade. I'm wishing Thursday was already here and I mean 5:30 Thursday when my classes are over and we hopefully get to go to the Hall.

So Saturday night, Quade took me to see When in Rome which was vey cute! There were some unexpected cameos in the movie that made it even better but I don't want to say who because I was happy I hadn't known before seeing the movie. So go see it!

I also got to watch the movie 500 Days of Summer with my sister and all I can say is AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Not because I watched it with my sister because that was the great part...I hated it!! If you believe in true love DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE! I really like Zooey Deschanel as an actress..especially in Yes Man. But, in this movie she played the part of a woman who didn't believe in true love too well. I'm BIG into the chick flick, love story movies so I guess I should've listened closer to the narrator guy at the beginning of the movie when he said "This is not a love story." If you're intrigued and think you'll disagree with me then by all means see it, but I can't get it out of my head and that's in a bad way. If you have seen it please let me know what you think. I felt soooo sorry for Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character big time! It does show that they are both good actors/actresses but I still don't agree.
