Excited about the weekend!!

Even though I still have classes today and tomorrow I'm already getting so excited about everything going on this weekend. Technically, the weekend won't start until after my Statistics class in the morning, but I am starting tonight when my baby comes here and we get to go dancing and see our friends at the Hall of Fame. I have been looking forward to going all week and especially since last week I couldn't go because of my Statistics test. Tomorrow is my good friend Christa's 22nd birthday and me and several of her friends are going to dinner and then more fun after! I know it's going to be a lot of fun and I love that we get to get all dressed up! Saturday is my Grandma's birthday and my family, Quade, and my sister's date are driving to Waco to meet my Aunt, Uncle, cousins, and cousin's boyfriend at a restaurant where my Grandma and her husband, she remarried, will be unsuspectingly waiting for us. So, yes, it is a surprise! I have a brand new shirt that is really pretty and I've been going tanning so I'll be looking good :) Unfortunately, I have 2 papers that have to be finished by the end of the day so I need to get them finished before I can finally enjoy myself.

Another weekend over

Every weekend that ends another week begins bringing the end of the semester SO close! Part of me is ready for the semester to be over and the other part of me that is worried about statistics wants more time. This past weekend was the Burton Cotton Gin Festival but with all the rain that we got it wouldn't have been much fun to go to. My town of Brenham got it worse than anybody around on Friday with a tornado that thankfully never touched down, but still caused plenty of damage.

These pictures show the Blockbuster sign that fell on someone's truck, Hartz chicken had their roof cave in and forced everyone to evacuate, and a portable buliding in the Lowe's paking lot was blown onto the highway. Definitely made life in my little town more eventful this weekend. Fortunately I got into town right after the worst had blown over. Saturday, Quade and I went to eat at an Italian restaurant in my small town of Brenham called the Colloseum which was great and we saw "17 Again" which was really cute! Now, it is going to be a crazy week and I am already wishing that it was over. Tomorrow night is the anuual Aggie Muster and it will be my first time to go as a student at Reed Arena. Former President of A&M Robert Gates will be there as the main speaker so I'm really excited! Just have to work really hard until then.

Getting Drained

With the semester coming closer and closer to the end it never fails that professors will pile on the major assignments at the end. I have been stressing and procrastinating..two things that I am a PRO at. If you could somehow make those two things into classes I would get easy A's. Statistics has been killing me and I badly need to do well on the last test before the final so I won't have to retake the class. My escape, thankfully, and addiction has been the Twilight series.

I thought that I was going to be the exception and not enjoy it as well as everyone else did but I caved in so bad that I read book two, New Moon, in less than 48 hours! That's 563 pages plus the first chapter of the third book that the author includes to get readers to immediately want to read the next book. It's going to be tough but I am forcing myself not to go buy the third book until finals are over. Good thing is I do get to use Twilight for a big project so it was beneficial in more ways than one. I am so happy the weekend is almost here. My sister is taking her state board test for court reporting again and hopefully she WILL pass this time. I'm excited this weekend is the Burton Cotton Gin Festival and Randy Rogers will be there Saturday night so I can't wait! Just a couple more days!

Little Disappointed :(

So...at the beginning of the week I was really hoping that two things would happen this week. One, last night I wanted Quade and I to go to the Hall of Fame to go dancing. I was so happy that my group presentation was over for my class and was definitely ready to go out when it was over. Unfortunately, my baby got sick and felt awful so we just watched movies. I couldn't be mad because he felt terrible he let me down, but swore that he would make it up to me. Second thing, I was reaalllyy hoping that we could go to Chilifest in Snook on Saturday. Well, we aren't going to be able to go for many reasons. We don't have the funds like I thought we did and also, really a good thing truthfully, Saturday is my "future brother-in-laws" prom that I had forgotten about. Now, we're working on being able to drive to Yoakum to see him off to his prom and also get to spend time with his family. Quade really needs to work on Saturday, but that all depends on how he feels tomorrow I guess. I just found out my parents are going away for the weekend so I may have to "babysit" my dog, Tex, since my sister, in my mother's words, won't do it. So, a lot could stand in the way of us being able to go and we will just have to see. I just hope Quade feels better most importantly and that my parents have a nice getaway, because they deserve it. I'll have the verdict when I blog next time...
